Sawyer is best known for his series of paintings called Art for God, which portray Jesus of Nazareth in a new--and sometimes controversial--way.

The documentary examines all aspects of Sawyer's work on the series of paintings: the idea, the "Jesus model," the artistry, the spiritual thought, the business, the reaction. Significantly, it examines the family business aspect as well.

Sawyer lives and works with his wife and five children in Versailles, Ky. His work is popular across the globe.
